Objective of the Course

This Diploma course aims to take a look at:

  • The nature of Indian society
  • The philosophical/ideological principles behind its social structure
  • The factors that have caused or contributed to communal riots and social violence
  • Their impact on individual and social life, on trade, industry and workers
  • The observations and suggestions of some of the commissions of inquiry
  • The legal provisions and governmental schemes

1 Year (Part – Time Evening Programme)

Examination Pattern

  • For each theory paper there will be annual examination of 80 marks and 20 marks for internal assessment.
  • Dissertation of 200 marks is compulsory.
  • Minimum number of marks for passing 40% in each paper.
  • Minimum number of marks for passing 40% in each paper.
